Happy Science Global is a religious and educational platform intended for spiritual study and community learning. It is not designed for commercial profit distribution to private individuals.
Definitions
For clarity, the following terms are used throughout these Terms:
- “Platform” means the Happy Science Global website at happyscienceglobal.org, together with all related pages, content, features, and services we provide.
- “Content” means all teachings, courses, videos, audio, text, graphics, logos, and other materials made available on the Platform.
- “User Content” means any material you submit, post, or share through community or interactive features.
- “Account” means the registered profile through which you access member features.
- “you” or “user” means any person who accesses or uses the Platform.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Happy Science Global, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies incorporated by reference (including our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, if published). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
If you are using Happy Science Global on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
Nature & Purpose of the Platform
Happy Science Global provides faith-based and educational content, including teachings, courses, videos, study resources, and community features. The Platform is intended to support spiritual learning and Happy Science’s religious/educational activities.

- Any testimonials or personal experiences shared are individual perspectives and may not reflect typical results.
- Some features may be offered as member benefits or as paid educational programs.
Eligibility, Age & Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your information current. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
- Minimum age: The Platform is intended for users aged 16 and over. Users under 18 (or the age of majority in their location) should use the Platform only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
- You agree not to share your account with others or allow unauthorized access.
- We may require identity or security verification (including multi-factor authentication) for certain actions.
- You must comply with all applicable laws when using Happy Science Global.
If you believe a minor has created an account without appropriate consent, please contact [email protected] so we can take appropriate action.
Subscriptions & Billing
Happy Science Global may offer paid memberships and/or educational programs on a subscription basis. Pricing, features, and billing cycles will be displayed at checkout.
- Auto-renewal: Unless you cancel before renewal, your subscription may renew automatically at the then-current price.
- Cancellation: You can cancel in your account settings (or by contacting support). Cancellation typically stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current period unless required by law.
- Fees and taxes: You are responsible for any applicable taxes, bank fees, or currency conversion costs.
- Payment processors: Payments may be processed via Stripe and/or PayPal (or other providers we enable).
- Price changes: We may change subscription pricing on a prospective basis; we will provide notice before a changed price applies to your renewal.
Note: Subscription and donation flows are kept on clearly separated pages and labeled consistently (e.g., “Membership” vs. “Donate”).
Donations
Happy Science Global may provide a donation feature to support religious and educational activities. Donations are voluntary and not required to access free portions of the Platform (unless otherwise stated for a specific feature).
Donation refunds: Donations are generally
non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error or there are special circumstances, contact us at
[email protected] as soon as possible. We will review requests on a case-by-case basis.
If donation receipts or acknowledgements are provided, they are for informational purposes. You are responsible for consulting your own tax advisor regarding deductibility.
Content, Intellectual Property & License
The Platform and its content (including videos, audio, text, graphics, logos, and course materials) are owned by or licensed to Happy Science Global and are protected by intellectual property laws.
- We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial spiritual/educational purposes.
- You may not copy, distribute, publicly display, sell, or create derivative works from member-only content unless explicitly permitted in writing.
- Any unauthorized sharing of access links, files, or recordings may result in suspension or termination.
User Content & Community Conduct
If the Platform offers community features (such as comments, forums, or shared reflections), you are responsible for the User Content you submit. You retain ownership of your User Content, but you grant Happy Science Global a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it as needed to operate the Platform.
- You represent that you have the rights to any User Content you submit and that it does not infringe the rights of others.
- We may, but are not obligated to, review, moderate, or remove User Content that violates these Terms.
- You agree to engage respectfully and in keeping with the spiritual and educational purpose of the community.
Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, or security measures.
- Use automated scraping, credential stuffing, or bot activity that disrupts service.
- Upload malicious code or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.
- Harass, defame, or threaten others; or post illegal or infringing content.
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate others.
Privacy & Security
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the Platform and user data.
- We may use security services such as reverse proxies, firewalling, and DDoS protection (e.g., Cloudflare) to harden the site.
- No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; you use the Platform at your own risk.
- You agree to promptly notify us of any suspected unauthorized account access.
Security measures may include rate-limiting or access challenges that can temporarily affect some users to protect the Platform. For more detail, see our Security page.
Third-Party Services
Happy Science Global may integrate with third-party services (e.g., payment processors, video hosting, analytics). Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
Copyright Complaints
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe content on the Platform infringes your copyright, please send a notice to [email protected] including: a description of the work, the location of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized.
We may remove or disable access to material claimed to be infringing and, where appropriate, terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Happy Science Global disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that the Platform will meet your expectations.
- Content may be updated, corrected, or removed at any time.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Happy Science Global and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Platform.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages; in such cases, liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Happy Science Global and its affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any rights of another.
Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to Happy Science Global at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, attempted unauthorized access, or used the Platform in a way that could cause harm to Happy Science Global, other users, or third parties.
- Termination may result in loss of access to member-only content and account data.
- Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations) will survive.
Account Deletion & Your Data
You may request deletion of your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting [email protected]. Upon deletion, access to member-only content and your account data may be permanently removed.
We may retain certain information where required by law, for legitimate business or accounting purposes, or to resolve disputes. Your data rights are described more fully in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to the Platform or These Terms
We may update the Platform, features, pricing, and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.
Continued use of Happy Science Global after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Dispute Resolution
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to first contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it informally. Most concerns can be addressed quickly this way.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be handled in accordance with the Governing Law section below. Where binding arbitration or a specific dispute-resolution process is required, the applicable terms will be presented separately and in accordance with local law.
Governing Law
Happy Science Global is operated by a religious nonprofit corporation organized under the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
You agree that the state and federal courts located in the State of New Jersey shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with the policies referenced in them, constitute the entire agreement between you and Happy Science Global regarding the Platform.
- Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
- No waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
- Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a reorganization or transfer of operations.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
